thread that they would make 5Mu."...

Hummm...I think someone said AMD would make closer to 6M chips in Q2...
it's the 2.3M left over that may be the problemo.

Chuckles - Re: "If you look at this thread, you will see that I have never posted a rumor about AMD being sold out for the quarter "

Excellent Clintonian tap dance - you are CORRECT - but you didn't include your PRIVATE MAIL RUMORS which emphatically stated that AMD was SOLD OUT !

Re: "! You have excited the thread with a rumor about IBM taking ownership stake in AMD and never had the guts to admit that you were wrong. "

I admitted I was wrong on this one - and I'm doing it again.

Re: "Or the other times you were generating FUD about K7 power dissipation "

I stand by my prior statements - AMD's athLATE will dissipate close to 60 watts at 600 MHz.

If you have an AMD K7 data sheet that proves me wrong, POST IT !

Re: "I know some rumors don't come true but if I say something, rest assured my money is backing my mouth."

Yep - and your MOUTH and your WALLET are $14/share under water - with your $58-$59 sale and then SHORT sale of Intel !

Superb investing, Chuckles - and your AMD is is doing GREAT as well - it's floundering at $17 !

Chuck - Re: Or the other times you were generating FUD about K7 power dissipation

That's a really bad example. It seems Paul was pretty much right on with his estimate of 60W at 600MHz. GlobalWin (maker of cooling equipment) has a page up that lists the heat dissipation for the K7 (as well as the P3 and the Celery):
globalwin.com.tw

50W at 600MHz according to this. That's 50% more than a PIII running 600MHz! A good thing during the winter months, but what am I to do in the summer?
