In January, a District of Columbia judge awarded Nasty Nathanc, 54, $400,000 Canadian, or $1.00 US in damages in his age-discrimination lawsuit against his former employer, a firm that operates cafeterias, sewage disposals and pre-framed cardboard hovels. According to Nasty, his supervisor had continually made references to his age, including addressing him as an "old fart." Nasty said he really didn't mind this as it was both descriptive and an accurate take on his actions, but what he resented was the implication that anything about him was old since he constantly dined on beans and prunes in an attempt to measure up to his supervisor's reflections.
