El,

Saw it @ PCEXPO

Looks pretty good.

Sony Picture Book is similar and includes a swivel attached camera. The Pentium II is a definite advantage for CPQ though.

But it's up to date for a change

I'm thinking of getting 1 to replace my 75MgHz NEC I use when I travel ....... about time eh?

Michael

Sounds like a nice feature set. None of the competitors have the docking station design, although IBM and Toshiba have it on their larger thin laptops, the 570 and 7020 Portege models. None of the others have 4M of video memory either. If the machine has decent battery life they should do well with it.

Regards,
John

El,

I could very likely be mistaken, but if memory serves correctly, this model is a repackage of a DEC thin-line notebook that rudedog considered(s) to be very good. In fact, I believe that is what he uses now.

FWIW.

AltaVista takes a page from HITT's playbook and starts charging for premium placement on their search results !!!! The first major search engine to start putting these slots up for sale !!!!!

Should be good for some controversy....

El,
I'm no expert, but this sounds like a slick machine. I like the docking feature. Puts the machine on the corporate buyers list.
