We already had the Lattimore translation, in paperback, but I've never read that one, I read a much older one. But my reading eyesight is getting problematic. I wear contact lenses most of the time, they are no problem for reading on the computer, but I can't read small type anymore, and even with bifocals, small type is a problem unless the light is bright. But hardback books always have larger type and whiter paper than paperbacks, so I read hardbacks now.

Did these same learned folk take on the Iliad as well, Achy? You can hand that to your youngster and say "heck I was THERE."
