Doug,

Ole '49r was quite voiciferous in her demands that Bill provide basic financial data on GATA's activities.

Bill, so far as I recall, refused and I believe continues to lack public accountability to his donors. If I'm not mistaken, non-profit entities must provide accounting and disclosure information upon request (although I must admit I would have to find the legal reference).

Anyhow, if one the pre-eminent gold-bugs, Ole '49r, was calling GATA's disclosure ommissions into question, who am I to argue.

Just what kind of expense account does Bill have, anyway?

Regards,

Ron

The person you are corresponding with about GATA is a master of the snide comment and innuendo - I broke my resolution for an instant and replied to one of his posts on this subject - I'm not a proponent of the conspiracy theory as such - but am prepared to believe that there has been manipulation by some brokers and related parties - but I do recognise what GATA is up against in the matter of biased reporting by the financial press - anyone who is for gold is tarred with the perjorative term 'gold bug' as if to belittle all efforts to lobby for the cause of gold. d
