ATT and AOL will not talk because they speak different
language.

ATT wants all ISPs who like to rent the pipe to accept
ATHM's screen as their member's log-in first screen,
AOL wants the first screen to be AOL's.

All ISPs can do like AOL does now, 'bring your own ISP'
after you log-in ATHM's screen for $9.95/month on top
of the fee pays to ATHM ($40/month).

So it is not the arguement of ATT not allowing other
ISPs to use the pipe, it is the first eyeball screen
that matters.

ATT and AOL has a mile wide difference, without
FCC or law, this issue will drag a long long time, so
might as well have government to make a judgement here.

I want Open Access becuase it is good for consumers, and
consumer likes choices and I like choices!

Dump ATHM or dump AOL, hold both will inbalance your
sanity everyday!

You cannot ride in the middle and wish to cash in on both
sides, too much uncertainties here.

William,
I think you raise some very important issues. The way this new world is being shaped and regulated. Everything is being integrated, parsed, and "sold".

It is so important to see the political intrigue attached to all these issues. The next election is going to be the most crucial in my lifetime.
