I guess I didn't get through the first time. "Price", like speed, has got nothing to do with it either. For all I care Intel and AMD could give away their chips. Again, it's about company profits and return to shareholders. I truly regret AMD is having problems. I take no joy in watching a company struggle and falter. Investors, most I assume, are hard core when it comes to capitalism. Competition in the market place is good. It increases company accountability and results in innovation and better products. But rah rah for the sake of rah rah is ignorant and counter productive.

Scumbria - "There is a very simple relationship between x86 clock speed and price."

There is an even simpler relationship between availability and profit.

You said that K7 is here, and it is faster than anything Intel has. Where is it????
