I debated with myself several days and finally decided to share the following excerpts I received form a friend in Europe who is a large stockholder in IDT and has been for years.

The information is apparently true. IDT won't speak about it to me and this individual is a highly reliable and trustworthy person. Sometimes I can read the tea leaves more by what IDT will not say or their sudden surprised silence.

<About 2 days ago, a Dutch broker told me that IDTC is in serious
negociations by now with World Online, the biggest Dutch ISP with over
800.000 subscribers ; moreover what's very important is the fact that
recently INTEL invested « some millions of usd « (cfr official press
release) in World Online and both expressed their ambitions making World
Online the biggest european ISP with 8-10 million subscribers by 2002 with
a very aggressive pricing-policy and exceptional service package including
VoIP. Besides Audax, TROS (Dutch broadcasting cy) , Belfort, Swiss holding
SANDOZ is now the biggest stockholder. IDTC would negociate to take over a
major principal part of the major Sandoz holding in World Online.

<(4) the World Online track I found seems to turn out truthfull; last
thursday I got confirmation about the negociations : imagine IDTC would be
at the forefront of the european isp market with a reach of 6-8 million
users within the next 2 years>
