Paul Allen's Wired World Portfolio update, 7/12/99: The portfolio lost 4.55% today. This compares to a loss of 0.09% for the NASDAQ composite. This is the first day in the existence of the portfolio that it has recorded a loss. HSAC fell back to earth, losing 10 9/16 to 37 1/8. This sell-off follows MCOM's 17 1/6 points rise in the previous four trading days. MCOM also contributed to the portfolio's loss, as it continued its sell-off from Friday. MCOM was off 6 5/8 to 34 3/8. The largest percentage gainer was ARIS with a 38.27% gain, as its shares rose 1 15/16 to 7. ARIS was trading under 4 a couple of weeks ago. Current value of the portfolio is $103,426.
