dave, thanks for the clarification on the # of companies sticking their toes in the rdram water and the commitments dell has to make. it does prove that a lot of companies are giving rdram a hairy eyeball. w/o specific numbers in the various contracts, i can't tell whether it is inconsistent w/ my 2-5% niche market share scenario.

in any case, these companies can't change the economics of their customers.

dave, if i can pull the 1-2% rev growth for pcs and 20% unit growth, we will agree that is bad economics for an industry that wants to tack on 12-25% onto their product for minimal improvement outside of certain niche markets, correct?

the reason i haven't posted that is b/c i expect other folks to know what is happening in the industries they invest in. iow, i don't consider myself cbs news to the si community. i will ask around, though, and try to dig it up. a lot happens in one or two months and i'm not able to commit to memory every single news link i see.
