I have watched with interest the struggle of the black man and woman in America and the debate over what to call themselves. I do not see this angst in any other people of color in countries around the world. In just a few short decades we have gone from "colored" to "black" (which is not correct because many people of color are all shades of brown, some even pass for white -- such as high yellows) to "Afro-American" to African American". What will the first decade of the new century bring? "Hey you"? FT
