you are going to get yourself burned...first you post you want to sell puts to alleviate margin....then you say you want to buy puts for you feel the market heading down....think it through...in order to use options as an investment tool you have to take a steadfast position of your belief of market direction.....to do otherwise relegates you to the level of a gambler...be introspective....how much have you made or lost in your options trades, analyze the gains and the losses, then question why....options are beneficial investment tools, but are losers when you speculate on the "buy" side.....it's real money, be cautious....good luck..ed a.
