A truly awesome evaluation of the AcceleRouter by the Tolly group has recently been posted on the Nbase-Xyplex website (thanks to a Yahoo! poster for the find)! nbase-xyplex.com The comparison is to CSCO 7200 routers (both legacy and newest configs) and to an AcceleRouter front-ending the same router, resulting in up to 26 times performance increase! The CSCO router was shown to lose packets (up to 19% loss) with 2 full duplex fast Ethernet ports in a min-max packet test, but with the AcceleRouter in front no packets were lost on 20 ports at a speed of 3.4 million packets per second (64 byte packets) and 186,930 pps (1,518 byte packets).
