<<If you do not subscribe to the "trader's philosophy," why do you frequent SI?>>

I have a certain amount of money. I can 1) stuff it under the mattress, 2) put it in a savings account or buy CDs with it, or 3) invest it in stocks and/or bonds. Since I chose(3), as the most rational course for the nonce, I frequent SI to help keep myself informed about the stocks I hold (I do a minimal amount of "trading").
I regard investing as one of the many tasks I have to perform, not as my life's work, or as a pastime, still less as a "philosophy" of life.
