Noise pollution is one of my great peeves.
Yes yes yes
Which is why we are all moving to Oregon, right?
WHen we moved here, it seemed so quiet after Dallas. Except for the jets flying over, which we are now used to. Besides which, if they are American, this are a goood thing.
Dan looks up at one and says, "Is it full?"
Like I can see?
"Yes, honey, it's full."
Sigh of contentment.

In defense of cats-- they are very quiet- unless you get one in heat under your window. None of this barking for hours at the moon. And cats do not travel in packs and attack small moving objects- like me.

ANd speaking of moving objects----!!! Where is jp- this is for her!---I went to the library and found a Joanna Trolloppe (Troloppe- Trollope- that last looks right- I never can remember) tape of THe Rector's WIfe, which I haven't read, and Dan bought me a really good set of earphones, and last night I got all wired up, turned on CHapter 1, and WALKED. It was great!!!! I have no memory of the walk at all, which is the point. And I can't WAIT to go again!!! The books on tape was a TERRIFIC idea!!
