Sometimes I wave at airliners, and I think I wonder if those people ever think or realize anyone is waving at them, but I never think I'm being waved at in the plane.

I got hooked on Dan having to go to Europe for a week. Thinking about getting all the office crap together, crucial stuff, long hours on the plane yuk, cars, hotels, hotels, mess around, find what you really needed, hassle stuff out, fly fly fly and get home dead tired and go to work.

I am sooo jealous. Not.

Being a schmuck is so much less work.

I bet it's rude to feel bad for somebody's husband. What do you think the protocol is on that?

I like to walk, myself. I've got my regular walks I've developed over the years we've lived here. There's The Circle, which is 1.5 miles. And Lee's Corner And Back, which is two miles. And Through The Woods, which is 3 miles. And The Square, which is 3.5 miles. And Through The Park, which is 6 miles. Before I Got Sick, I was doing Through The Park a couple of times a week. Now I just do The Circle, I have worked my way up to every other day, and if the weather stays cooler, I could easily do every day, which means that it's probably time to bump up the distance.

I have developed a semi-meditative state, of just observing as I walk. When I walk through the neighborhood, I look at architecture, and flowers, and gardens, and I observe the clouds.

I remember reading that many of the great writers used to walk when they had writer's block, and work out their plots. It stimulates the circulation to the brain, walking does, and clears the mind.

I'll have to try the books on tape!! Glad that worked.

On the cat subject I must admit that there is this new cat in the neighborhood who goes around fighting with any cat she sees. Every night I here that horrible squeel of a cat fight until the owners of the innocent cat can get their baby inside. My cats won't even go outside anymore. I actually think the cat fighting sound is worse than a dog barking, but it usually doesn't last as long.

I thought taped books were just for blind people, or people with no fingers. I wish I'd known they have those, because I've been wanting to do that ever since I found out blind people got to.

I would have three hundred uses for those. Especially in the car.

Which is why we are all moving to Oregon, right?

Shhh!!! dammit, or I am gonna have to switch to the alternate site...

You have been attacked by packs of dogs? One at a time has been plenty for me. I've been considering arming myself with a stun gun. 35,000 volts ought to at least get the fiend's attention, maybe make his hair stand on end. I'd probably get fired even if the beast was chewing my leg in two.

No need to defend pussycats with me. I'd have a couple of Siamese if I didn't think they'd aggravate my allergies. I could always feed them some of my guppies as snacks.

You better be careful with that walking stuff. You might get fit and start picking on all the couch potatoes. Put a mail satchel on your shoulder and you could earn a few bucks.

That's great. If the ending gets real exciting there's no telling how long you might walk just to get to finish. <g>

I'm glad my walk to work is so nice or it might feel like more of a chore. Getting to walk by cool buildings, then the Capital, then go through the park, bright with flowers right now, makes it pass quickly. I look forward to it. And since there are a few *segments* to it in terms of visuals, it makes it go faster. Like walking in chunks rather than a long stretch.
