AEHR TEST SYSTEMS AND ELECTROGLAS ANNOUNCE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT FOR COMPLETE WAFER-LEVEL BURN-IN AND TEST SOLUTION

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Jul 12, 1999 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Aehr
Test Systems (Nasdaq: AEHR) and Electroglas, Inc. (Nasdaq: EGLS) today
announced a development agreement to create a complete wafer-level
burn-in and test system solution. The system is expected to enable
integrated circuit manufacturers to achieve significant cost savings by
performing burn-in and parallel functional test of integrated circuits
while still in wafer form. The burned-in wafer can then undergo final
test and be diced for standard packaging, chip scale packaging (CSP) or
flip chip applications.

"The partnership with Electroglas is critical to our efforts to bringa
complete solution to customers. As a leading supplier of wafer probers,
Electroglas will contribute its technical know-how in wafer probe
alignment and wafer loading and handling," said Rhea Posedel, president
and CEO ofAehr Test Systems. "From a strategic standpoint, this
relationship will keep us in the forefront of developing next
generation test and burn-in technologies,'' Posedel added.

With partial funding from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency
(DARPA), Aehr Test is developing a system for burn-in and test of
entire processed wafers. Developing this full wafer burn-in and test
system requires expertise and innovative developments in many disparate
technologies. These technologies include enhanced integrated circuit
burn-in and test, full-wafer probing to contact all pads on all devices
on the wafer simultaneously, thermal management of a full wafer of
operating devices, alignment of the wafer under test to the probe, and
automated handling of the wafer.

"We are excited by the opportunity to work with Aehr Test. There are
significant changes taking place in the backend, where wafer-level
burn-in and test could fundamentally change the process flow for
semiconductor manufacturers," said Curt Wozniak, chairman and CEO of
Electroglas. "We see this as an opportunity to leverage the expertise
of our two organizations to develop solutions for this emerging
market."

Interest in full wafer test and burn-in has increased significantly
with the introduction of Rambus D-RDRAMs and Double Data Rate SDRAMs.
These new memories, especially those based on Rambus designs, specify
CSP or flip chip so that the 800 MHz performance targets can be
achieved. Standard burn-in sockets are not available for flip chip or
fine pitch CSP, so a new solution is required to burn-in the new
generations of DRAM. The wafer burn-in and test system is expected to
offer a higher throughput and more cost-effective method of processing
.
devices.

Products resulting from the joint development between Aehr Test and
Electroglas are anticipated to be announced over the next year.

About Aehr Test Systems Aehr Test Systems, headquartered in Mountain
View, Calif., has been a leading provider of systems for burning-in and
testing DRAMs and other integrated circuits since 1977, and has shipped
over 2,000 systems worldwide. Aehr Test has developed and introduced
two new innovative product families, the MTX system and DiePak(R)
carrier. The MTX is a massively parallel test system designed to reduce
the cost of memory testing by performing both test and burn-in on
thousands of devices simultaneously. The DiePak carrier isa reusable,
temporary package that enables integrated circuit manufacturers to
perform cost-effective final test and burn-in of bare die.

About Electroglas, Inc. Electroglas delivers essential tools for
process management designed to enhance semiconductor companies'
profitability. The company's waferprobers, inspection systems and
software solutions serve as data collection, management and analysis
tools that semiconductor manufacturers depend on to improve their
productivity and process control by optimizing sort-floor efficiency.
Electroglas has been a leading supplier of wafer probers for over 35
yearsand has an installed base of more than 10,000 systems. The
company's stocktrades on the Nasdaq National Market under the symbol
"EGLS." The company's World Wide Web site is located at
www.electroglas.com .

This release contains forward-looking statements that involve risks and
uncertainties relating to projections regarding timing of new product
introduction and customer acceptance for Aehr Test's products. Actual
results may vary from projected results. These risks and uncertainties
include technological risks in design and development and the potential
emergence of alternative technologies, which could adversely affect
demand for Aehr Test's products. See Aehr Test's 10-K and most recent
10-Q filed with the SEC for additional risks affecting the Company.

unc. why don't you send skeeter an "rpg" (that is a rocket propelled grenade isn't it?)<ggggg> seriously, why answer him? he spouts retoric and can't back up his conclusions. don green is a bull compared to skeeter. hey, maybe not anymore. don was weakening . my daughter has my old 166p (a packard bell). she'd be glad to sell it to skeeter. it is 2 years old and obsolete.(come to think of it packard bell is obsolete.) pb tried to go the cheap computer route and died. why can't he see this plain fact.? i think he can and just enjoys yanking our chains. rocky

OTOTOT ....turning into a nation of net check earners and "what's my monthly payment?" consumers

I just bought a $400 lawn mower. They pushed the "90 days same as cash" credit thing so I went for it with the intention of paying it off in 90 days.

2 days later got a bill form the finance company with a $16 dollar minimum payment due. I asked the mower dealer what was the point of this bs $16 and it was explained to me that the company wanted to use the 90 days to train you to get into the habit of paying $16 per month ( @20%+ apr ) ad infinitum.

I was so appalled I payed the whole thing off at once.

bp,

I'm not. I don't know of anyone going to Siggraph.
