Mr. Bug, I'm a long-term RMBS holder now, and not too technically sophisticated, so I won't front. But I will say this, and my perspective may be helpful. Focusing on .3 or .1 second gains at this point is a misleading exercise. Computers will be faster in the next few years (nothing earthshaking there). People are not "finished." They haven't bought their last computer already. It's not over. And when RMBS is inside, that's what they'll be buying. And that's my crude analysis.

>>>btw, nobody cares if rmbs is 300% faster a million times faster. the bottom line is what it does for the WHOLE of the computing experience.<<<

I sure do! Just waiting to buy three (3) PIIIs w 800 mhz and RMBS memory channels. Bring those babies to market as I'm in serious training to dash to be 1st in line with DELL!!!!!

Maybe there will be a way to fit a 4th into the new Hummer! It's all about BIGGER, FASTER, & NEWER!!!! "Get on the wave of the future, my man!!!!"

Skeeter,

if as you say you have no position in RMBS, and by that I understand that you are not even short (a great pity), and you are firmly convinced that RDRAM will at best be a niche product, THEN WHY DO YOU PLAGUE THIS THREAD?
Why don't you share your words of wisdom and unfounded statements with others with a mutual interest in a product or service you believe in?
But just being critical must boring for you too

Alan
