brian, you are right. computers are here to stay and 100+ million w/b sold every year. if the pc mfrs want to forego some profits and pay up for rdram when the end market doesn't really need it (ok, 95-98% of the end market), who am i to argue. i've seen dumber things happen. much dumber. if it does, fine. my next box will be just as cheap as it would have been otherwise and i'll have better memory. i'll thank the boxmakers of the world for subsidizing my box just like i thank the dram guys for subsidizing my memory.
