Part of it must be that the recent Max-Pain numbers have been so far from the price of the common that they were likely bets placed a lot earlier. Or something.

Was Max-Pain really that good an indicator or was it more that Apple always fell one strike price in the final week? Anyway, it was a pattern I made money on too, and I managed to realize that the iMac release trumped Max-Pain last August and held through options expiration too.

On with the new pattern!
