Ken, in NYC and Westchester County, Governments are now officially preparing for a worst case scenario in regard to Y2K. I read this in a front page article in the Gannett Suburban Newspapers. The real panic stage is not far away. It should hit by Labor day.
They had years to prepare. Complacent fools.
People pay for car insurance, fire insurance, home insurance, life insurance, health insurance; but when it comes to Y2K insurance for their very survival, they live in DENIAL and LA La Land.
Thanks for the Posts.

You fail to understand the basic difference between a "prediction" and a contingency planning exercise. Just because I prepare for natural disasters, doesn't mean that I predict that Mount Rainier will erupt today. It is irresponsible not to build contingency plans. It is more irresponsible to characterize that exercise as a prediction of disaster.
