They're right. It died peacefully because of you. Good girl. Er, human. We have had the same problem. One day a herd of "wood ducks" waddled through the yard. I'd never seen a duck in the yard, of any kind. We worked and located a secret woman 15 miles from here and drove the one who was almost eaten by Fui there. He was uninjured, but still didn't make it through the night; and we came to the same conclusion ~ that it's better than being eaten.

Environmentally, if you consider the fuel, air pollution, electricity and work time wasted, it would have been better if I had just stepped on him. Or hit him with the lawn mower.
