Wayne, this was posted over at the Norfolk Southern message board today at Yahoo! by a poster tagged Jointbar:

"I would hate to think that CSX/NSC acted like teenagrs buying their first car. The NYRR lawsuit against CR was about $900,000,000.00. That ain't chicken feed and it ain't settled yet. Maybe it will go 58/42%
like everything else. By the way, lots of CONRAIL BLUE (ugly color) locos in and out of Norfolk and a ton of CR coal hoppers stored in Carolina yard."

Wayne, I was one who received the mailing from the Company. As I understand it, when your stock is held in "street name," some brokers give out lists of owners while others do not.

If anyone knows anything more about this, I would be interested.

Barbara

I am accepting that press release in a positive manner because it is vague on specific detail but still positive in outlook and expectation. At this point that is important. They do not or at this time will not divulge all the specifics on contracts and or merger negotiations for obvious reasons. Thus, this will trade like a day trade until the truly solid news is announced. This company is still a good investment.Hold fast or play the ups and downs, but be careful, when the news comes and you are not in ,you just might miss the big move upward. Remember , not so long ago this was $.15 and skyrocketed to $1.78 in weeks.

Someone at the RB thread noted:
"Has NYRR submitted and received its RFP application to acquire the operations of the Long Island Rail Road Freight Division ?"
Wayne, do you know anything about this? I have not heard about this development - do you know anything?
