I haven't got the foggiest on how the street will treat the three one time charges but without it they beat the numbers easily. $2.60 - $2.43 = $.17. The conference call should be interesting.

The one statement that sticks out in the report was
Our goal is to continue our record of strong growth, achieving revenues in excess of $2 billion within four years through a programme of strategic and accretive acquisitions. And we will do this while remaining faithful to our benchmark 20 percent or better operating margins.

There are 2 articles today, one in the G&M the other in NP. NP's is more insightful, as usual.

Interesting that they changed their accounting policy effective May 1 with respect to development charges as this is in line with U.S. GAAP. I forsee a NASDAQ listing soon...by the end of Q3.

They seem to be taking the right direction by stating that they will be more accessible to analysts. This "openess" was lacking with the previous management team. How accessible they will become remains to be seen, however.

As an aside, the CFO, Lanaway, used to be the Office Managing Partner of Deloitte & Touche. It's interesting to note that the current auditors are Deloitte & Touche!! Small circles with good contacts??

I'm praying the market overreacts and sends this stock down 20%...it will allow me to accumulate more!!

Damn, I sold at 26.90 first thing this morning. I thought I had to get out before it went down, but now it's up! The market seems to be taking an optimistic long-term view, which I think is sensible, but surprising. Normally companies get slammed for this kind of thing.

This may sound like sour grapes now that I've sold, but I don't think it's quite fair to say that without these one-time charges they beat the earnings estimates. There are usually some kind of one-time costs for any company in any given year, so I think that part of this writedown has to be counted as a normal cost of doing business.

Good luck to everybody still holding.
