I've never seen such dumbass trading as on this. There was a 5000 share bid at 29. Virtually nothing of size offered between 29 and 30 and these numbskulls are hitting this big bid with their piddly blocks. Inmates running the asylum.

Marketing Services CEO Barbera on Internet Plans: Comment

New York, July 14 (Bloomberg) -- Marketing Services Group Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Jeremy Barbera talks about the telemarketing and direct-marketing services company and its Internet plans. Marketing Services said today it agreed to buy No. 6 U.S. direct-marketer Grizzard Communications Group for $100 million in cash and stock.

(Grizzard is) an organization that compliments ours almost perfectly, with no redundance. There won't be any slash and burn. It's a tremendous amount of new capabilities for us. The two marry each other very nicely.''

''There are certainly more (acquisitions) on the horizon. We're receiving five to 10 deals a week to look at, so we're going to concentrate on Internet investments and Internet tools for the next six months.''

''We're looking to create a couple of portals. We will take disparate Web sites and bring them into a common destination, it's called stickiness, so Web site traffic will stay at a particular place. The longer you keep them there, the more valuable they are to your advertisers.''

''It's become the most powerful medium because you can reach someone at such low cost. Although we are not solely an Internet company, this past year we have been focusing tremendously on the Internet. It is our belief that the Internet is as fundamental as the Industrial Revolution. We're learning from the master of Internet marketing in one way or another -- CMGI. GE is our other major investor, and we've learned a lot from them. We're making the most out of the Internet.''
