re: can you comment on sun's claim that it is about two to three years ahead of the new intel I64, by virtue of its unix etc. I am also interested in what you think about its claim for strength of its storage/server pods, for competing for the business of huge accounts--enterprise accounts. The above is all true. There is no software right now for IA64 from the other side of WINTEL or silicon from INTC. The last part is also correct since SUNW has product offerings and the experience, were as DELL is just starting. The whole Idea behind IA64 and Merced, wolfpack, and SAN storage devices is to take in the big Iron and minicomputers the last foot hold that the PC sector has not penetrated yet. Greg
