tech2000, Say this reads like celphones....They are given away as long as you sub for 2 years or so....driven by kickbacks. Most people know there is no free lunch. I expect this will generate a number of newbies. Many will no stay on line after the initial surge so they will be profitable to the ISP. MSN...what a losing proposition, typical of what a company used to a monopoly position would create. Beaten to death by the free market. Gates does not wish to admit defeat, he can afford to throw away a billion or so trying to kill AOL]the question is will he succeed with the plot...I doubt it. Bill
