HELP!!!! I just bought the newest DELL 550meg. Pentium III system ($2800) I ordered it with the newest 6X DVD drive... My wife got the system today (only took 5 days to arrive) she loves the system, easy to set up, looks great and is lightening fast BUT standard CD ROM's do not work in the DVD drive... I thought DVD drives could play both CR ROM and DVD but apparently not... My question and one that my wife is trying to get answered by DELL is how could they ship a system without a CD ROM drive if CD ROM's don't work in the DVD drive... In configuring the system it was either a CD ROM drive or a DVD drive both drives aren't offered in the same system...???? What am I not getting?

Thanks

BBG

Howdy,

That guy said he got his machine in 5 days, Dell must have a little slack in their system for that to happen.

It used to take 2 weeks.
