 CAMBRIDGE, Mass./NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 19, 1999--

Users gain unattended PC roll-out, desktop personalization and

triggering of ON Command CCM actions in Unicenter TNG

ON Technology Corporation (NASDAQ:ONTC) today announced a technology development partnership with Computer Associates
International, Inc. (CA) that provides integration of ON Command CCM(TM), ON Technology's desktop management software, with
CA's Unicenter TNG(R), the industry-leading end-to-end enterprise management solution. The integration offers clients a unique solution for
automated new PC rollouts, desktop configuration, and on-going help desk support - without the need to visit the desktop. Now, through
the Unicenter TNG Real World Interface, customers can identify and manage all ON Command CCM server and console components.
ON Technology will be demonstrating this integration at CA World in New Orleans, Louisiana from July 18 - 23, 1999.

"By leveraging the state-of-the-art management capabilities of Unicenter TNG, ON Command CCM users can enjoy a completely
unattended approach to desktop configuration management throughout the entire PC life cycle," said Mike LaTorraca, vice president, CA
development partner program. "This integration enables clients to take advantage of ON Technology's advanced continuous configuration
capabilities while incorporating this solution into CA's leading enterprise management infrastructure."

Clients who utilize the combined solutions can rapidly deploy new PCs and provide all on going operational- and support-related software
tasks without visiting the desktop. Within Unicenter TNG, an administrator can rebuild and return a desktop to a defined state by simply
selecting the desktop icon and launching the ON Command CCM rebuild directive. This service increases PC availability and end user
productivity by eliminating lengthy downtimes due to corrupted or misconfigured PCs.

"ON Command CCM's approach makes good solid business sense. With this one solution the enterprise desktop comes under control -
including the increasingly problematic mobile PC," said Valerie O'Connell, research director, Aberdeen Group. "Integration with Unicenter
TNG is a logical step for customers of both companies - win/win all around."

The ON Command CCM environment, including servers, clients, and administration consoles, is automatically discovered and managed by
Unicenter TNG. ON Command CCM server and client components are visually differentiated by icons allowing the administrator to identify
desktops by specific criteria. This enables customers to easily create a universe of clients that have a specific operating system or
application, resulting in a target group that can be assigned a specific tactical solution such as operating system installations, Office 2000
upgrades, or printer configurations. In addition, ON Command CCM offers advanced tools that allow the customer to build additional
automation capabilities within the Unicenter TNG managed environment.

"Customers can compliment the many Unicenter TNG enterprise management capabilities with ON Command CCM's configuration
management features," said Roy Sanford, vice president, marketing and alliances for ON Technology. "This integration supports our
philosophy that centralized management eliminates the need to visit remote systems. Now the ON Command CCM management
components, servers and consoles, can be managed remotely from Unicenter TNG."

 About Unicenter TNG

By automatically managing the enterprise-computing environment, Unicenter TNG optimizes the availability of business-critical services to
help reduce the total cost of ownership. Enterprise assets including the Internet/intranet and even non-IT equipment, like automated teller
machines - can be managed based on the business processes they support. Comprehensive and integrated out-of-the-box functionality, an
intuitive Real World Interface, and self-learning, predictive neural network Neugents technology make Unicenter TNG easy to deploy and
use, resulting in a rapid return on investment that increases over time.
