Well, you're the one who told me that you don't look at marginal costs, you look at variable costs, so I presume that you think that there is an important distinction.

I think they are generally the same, but variable costs could include some semi-fixed expenses like management staffing levels, while marginal costs would just be the costs of running one extra wafer. I still think that marginal costs are the decision criteria.
