Paul,

<What I currently know is that Willamette TAPE OUT has been delayed to late this year, most likely early year 2000.>

Good, your nose is on the problem! Keep digging you may find something more disturbing.

Chuck

Paul,

Thanks for the information on Willamette.

It truly looks like the gang that couldn't shoot straight still has an opening with the K7.

Regards,

Kash.

Paul - RE: "What I currently know is that Willamette TAPE OUT has been delayed to late this year, most likely early year 2000.

That would make a year 2000 introduction dicey - depending upon
how clean first silicon is.

So, until tape out/first silicon, the jury is still out."

Serious question: Why has Intel been having so many design problems lately???

They're starting to make AMD look good.

I officially name that chip Willa-its-original-release-date-be-mette?

It is really incredible the way that major events in this Intel/AMD war have been exploding recently. Somebody has to make a movie about this. Anyone have suggestions on the title?

Or how about this: Can anyone guess what the next surprise will be?
