I just don't know why people would hold options going into the earnings release when Q after Q, history has shown us that tech stocks, including MSFT, have sold off post release. Not that you still can't sneak out a few more points of profit, but the issue remains "Is it worth it?"

It isn't from my perspective and that's why I covered all my positions this week.

It makes me think of a great line --- "Fortunes are made by selling too early..."

My question is for my Aug and Oct options . My Aug are not in the money and my Oct are 20.0 or so in. Should I hold till after earnings or try and get out today or Monday? AOL was down to 120 could be a nice price for them for a quick short gain . The problem is all my option money has been spoken for in MSFT . Help if you can. Anyone .Thanks
