Recent true story....

Our washing machine broke. I took the basket out and saw a plastic ring had broken. Repair was pretty obvious. Went down to our local Sears repair service and they said it would take a week to 10 days to get the part in. I said ok, but could you give me the part number anyway. Went to the sears.com internet site and ordered the part. It cost 10.00 less including shipping and took three days to arrive at our front door.

Yesterday I did the same thing and bought a front brake line through a Seattle chevy dealership. Cost 12.00 less and took 2 days to arrive. The local dealership told me it would take 3-5 days to get in.

E-Commerce is going to change everything!
