WUWT remember NGQ, way back when? E*TURD did a sell for me for me @$5.35 instead of 0.53 once and it took them a week to figure out why they were short about $20,000.00. I shoulda gone on a big holiday!

I needed to place a sell order first thing in the morning but I couldn't get through to Investorline. So instead of selling into the gap up... I ended up waiting and then calling in my trade by which time the stock started to move down quite a bit so I put in an order that was good till next week hoping the stock might recover and I would get filled today... but it didn't happen.... the stock moved down to almost what I paid for it $11.

I bought the stock yesterday at 11 and I could have sold into the gap up this morning as high as almost 13. That's $2US on 800 shares so what this little fire this morning cost me

800 x $2 = 1600 US = about $2300 Cdn.

That was one bloody expensive fire and I'm just one person... I wonder how much all of us lost today because we couldn't trade as usual.

I'm serious guys.... Y2K has me freaked already. What are we going to do? I'm seriously considering taking out a large amount of cash out of my account since it may take them several weeks to get their act straightened out after we hit the year 2000.

Being in the electronics business myself I have already thought about all the things that can possibly go wrong and trust me it's going to affect you in the most annoying ways.

You have to be able to buy food even if the bank is all screwed up... it's a good idea to have a plan or you may end up at your mother-in-law's house for dinner every night. I don't think we want that every night.

But we can't all be walking around with pockets full of cash all the time... it's not very safe. So what's the solution? Where will we put our investment money? I don't plan on keeping it under my mattress!

Any thoughts?

Lola:)
