Would you please comment on YAHOO post 7944? I know you once told me that Internet delivery of movies was something like 5-10 years away.
If this is feasible why are TW and others spending billions on settop boxes?

One thing I think is wrong with the idea is that for the foreseeable future an inexpensive settop box plus a central server operation has to be a lot cheaper than much more expensive storage boxes in people's homes and a cheaper delivery system.

How many megs is a movie? His idea of downloading in a few minutes
sounds awfully fast versus what I can see my @HOME cable modem service capable of doing, especially if you have any "party-line" effect.
