taxman, Glad that you were able to keep your shares (did not finish over 100). I wish i could do the same (non trading shares of course) for August. I plan to do covered selling but am hoping for more of a runup before doing so---trying to pick a short term top.
The only problem is that if the general market keeps going up, MSFT will outperform it--meaning i lose my shares or cover. However, if the market suddenly starts heading south later in the week or even a couple of weeks from now, MSFT would not be spared.

I might have to average it out.

BTW---Cheers!!! I was able to make a boatload of money in June and July basically all from MSFT shares and options. Stayed away from any hedging--that is what made me a lot---stayed long only. MSFT at 80 was just too tempting not to be in options. I can resist call options with MSFT at about 100 to 110--would stick to shares at these levels.
