Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if it was just bootlegging. Bootleggers were heroes to a lot of folks. I don't know a whole lot about him, but wasn't he pretty much an out and out gangster? He sure seemed to like to hang out with gangsters. That gangster mentality was passed to John and Bobby. Don't a lot of people think JFK ordered the murder of President Dziem of Vietnam? If so, his assassination was a form of rough justice, wasn't it? Anyway, its too bad the family lost the only gentleman that was in it.

John, bootleg money was only a small part of ill begotten gains. A full biography of the old man,some of it even on A&E indicate a great deal of underhanded dealings with less that sovory individuals, a bunch of back stabbing, and the use of blackmail to attain his goals.
