"Potential responders should read other responses to a post before responding" Sometimes I wish SI had a graphical tree display of the threaded nature of posts that could be toggled off and on - Grouping the post followed by it's responses. There are other sites that do this.... makes it easier to see the depth of a discussion, etc. (letting you expand/collapse a series of related visually-indented post headers.) This only works if the posters are linear thinkers though :)
