By the way, I agree with you - although I would not suggest betting solely on pure e-commerce plays myself, although DRIV is in my portfolio. Why not bet on the Internet infrastructure companies? Then it doesn't matter whether Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com wins - they all must use bigger bandwidth, faster servers, larger hard drives, etc.

Commerce One (CMRC) is a better pure B2B play than Ariba. ARBA is basically a glorified ERP.

The head of CMRC is the same individual that started Sybase.
