Edit: I was just checking Taiwan's history on the Internet, and I see we broke diplomatic relations with Taiwan in 1979, in order to establish them with mainland China. So I guess Taiwan really is China's "internal affair" now. Sorry for my ignorance, I was remembering what I learned in school a long time ago.

Yiwu, the US public has learned much including the notion that it is ok to dodge the draft and get elected president. My guess is the public knows that a war with China would be so costly that we wouldn't dare mess with them and if our leaders were crazy enough the public would not support it. I wouldn't. If China wants to flex its muscle there isn't much ( militarily) we can do about it. Mike
