John, excellent points that you raise on the Y2K implications for the market and the economy, I have written about Y2K a number or times on other threads this year. It is such a one-off event that it has been very unpredictable to plan for, or factor in.

John...

I've looked at my notes and cannot recall the Ashtami (8th) day definition...could you review the significance....But I do remember our conversation!!

Y2K will probably disrupt a lot of common channels or threads of delivery. It should also cause a mild panic in the general public like the frenzy that proceeds a hurricane. I have contacts high up in the legal world of telecommunications...actually he's the legal council for a major provider of equipment. Corporations are worried about short-term slow downs and not long-term problems. They are expecting everything to be cleaned up and functioning smoothly by March 2000.

Your note is very interesting?
