Jim and Thread,

I am beginning to focus my attention to any news regarding Lexar. This is one issue where many of us have weighed in previously...

We need some legal advice as to the significance of "mandatory settlement discussions". These are supposed to be completed in August. I think that SNDK just needs to bring in some sample licensing agreements with, let's say, Intel or Toshiba or Samsung, and then make a reasonable request. Also, the deal with SSTI a year ago demonstrates that other card manufacturers are honoring SanDisk's IP and are willing to pay for this crucial technology.

I would be willing to testify as an expert witness on the false advertising accusations. It is an open-and-shut case. SanDisk hasn't advertised. Period! End of story!!!

And what does Lexar bring to the table to barter but animosity and ill-will? I don't think that Eli is not interested in controller technology at present. Also, I think that the Lexar CompactFlash USB enhancement adds little to the USB Imagemate which is currently available at retail. So what is left?

Maybe Reimer should just bring a blank check and make sure that he stops by Safeway before the meeting to pick up some new Huggies...

...the extra absorbent kind.

Let's get this thing over with and just move on!!!
