SPEEDWAY JUNKIE C(Rating) SPEEDWAY JUNKY gives viewers an unnecessary remake of MIDNIGHT COWBOY with Joe Buck and Ratso turned into teenage hustlers down on their luck in a dreary Las Vegas. Director Nickolas Perry obviously has good intentions but is unable to maintain any plot or character consistency. Daryl Hannah turns in a brave, potentially career-destroying portrait of a hooker with a heart of gold, but Jesse Bradford is appealing as the innocent would-be racecar driver.
