You may, indeed, be a voice in the wilderness, Stephen, but I have posted again and again how much I love Borges.

Steven, last month I bought a volume of Borges' poetry (Spanish on one side of the page, English translation on the other). I was overwhelmed. I had never read any of his poems before. And I had not realized that Borges considered himself to be primarily a poet. I now can see why he did. Really dig his themes, his way of handling them, his imagery -- the whole kit and kaboodle.

Does anyone else here read Borges, or am I the voice in the wilderness...?

Not only ARE you a voice in the wilderness, but if you read Borges you deserve to be! <g>

(Sorry, but couldn't resist! Actually I read him briefly, but for the most part I tend to avoid reading in translation, particularly authors where the nuance and use of language is central to the quality of their writing.
