Up $1.4 and the rest of the markets tanked. Pretty quiet on the thread considering the following. Geac Extends JBA Offer Period To Accumulate Remaining Shares: Major Shareholder Has Tendered biz.yahoo.com 1999--Geac Computer Corporation Limited (TSE:GAC - news) announced today that it has extended its cash tender offer for JBA Holdings plc (LSE:JBA) for an additional fourteen days, leaving the offer open until 3:00pm UK time Friday, September 10th , 1999. As at 3.00 p.m. on August 27th 1999, the first closing of the Offer, valid acceptances of the Offer had been received in respect of 24,331,045 JBA Shares, representing approximately 65.8 percent of the issued share capital of JBA. They need 21.5% to get the ninety percent. With the way the stock moved today the street must think the deal is around the corner. What's your take rrman on the situation. Any gossip from the TSE.
