Best sequel judged as an improvement over the original: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (imo WAYYYY better than Vacation- although that too was good)

Best Paul Newman movie: Toss up between "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "Hud", "The Hustler" and " Cool Hand Luke" are right up there too- maybe "Mr. and Mrs. Bridge"- the Verdict doesn't even come close.
Best teen movie:Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Best Bertolucci movie: Last Tango in Paris
Best Melanie Griffith movie: Stormy Monday or Body Double
Best John Hughes movie: I have to pick either Planes Trains and Automobiles or Uncle Buck- 'cause all his other movies are just too damn insipid. But is there really a best John Hughes movie? Isn't that an oxymoron?
Best Steve Martin movie: HAS to be All of Me. But I also LOVE his sadistic dentist in Little Shop of Horrors, and Roxanne and Parenthood were damned good too.
Best performance by Bill Murray: Rushmore; YES!
Best "Bill Murray Movie": Stripes; Oooh- another agreement, amazing. ALthough Its hard to choose between Stripes and Ghostbusters.
Best movie directed by Clint Eastwood: Bird..... I prefer High Plains Drifter- since it is one of my favorite movies, but Bird is good.

Best teen movie: Clueless;
I have to go with Fastimes at Ridgemont High

Best Melanie Griffith movie: Something Wild;
Ray Liotta was a great villian

Best John Hughes movie: Sixteen Candles;
I named my cat Molly

Best Steve Martin movie: LA Story;
I loved that the changeable message board (the freeway sign) dispensed wisdom when in reality all they do in L.A. is cause traffic jams. (I'll have a double half caf with a lemon twist)

Best "Bill Murray Movie": Stripes;
"Lighten up Francis!"
