I am not sure if anyone posted this:

news.com.

Here's a few other interesting articles:

kmworld.com

From the first article:

High-end options

The leading companies for high-end SFA are Siebel, Vantive and Clarify. Siebel (www.siebel.com) produces a family of sales, call center and enterprise relationship management (ERM) solutions including Sales Enterprise, Service Enterprise, Marketing Enterprise and Call Center software. Similarly, Vantive (www.vantive.com) targets large companies such as Hewlett-Packard's (www.hp .com) Product Support Division with its integrated suite of products. Clarify (www.clarify. com) offers a Front Office 98 suite with a similar collection. Prices for those products depend on the configuration and number of users.

***Scalability is a key distinguisher of the high-end from the mid- and low-end customer management products****. For example, in benchmarking tests, Front Office 98 handled 30,000 concurrent users and 67,000 customer inquiries or cases per hour. The other high-end discriminator is the ability, through a suite of products, to handle different types of contact management scenarios, such as help desk, call center and sales force automation. Even so, often a product's primary strength is in one area--in this case, SFA for Siebel and customer service for Vantive and Clarify. Other clues that a higher-end product is needed: many remote users or a complex sales cycle. "

****From what I have read, I believe SLGX is as scalable as SEBL. Check Chris O'Leary posts made to SLGX thread on YHOO (referenced in my previous posts) to see where I am coming from on this observation.

Does that mean that SLGX can pursue the high-end market? Saleslogix, I believe, does support a ton of remote users and has the capability of managing complex sales cycles. It could be part of the game plan.
