i bought them. bet that kills your interest.(grin) 15,000 candlepower is correct. they'll blind you. they run on 2 AA penlight batteries. no, we haven't changed them out yet. 50,000 hours per pair of batteries is correct. an amazing flashlight. for the techies among us: they are a pair of blue LEDS soldered onto a disk. and you can't buy these 2 highpowered LEDS anywhere. i've tried, because i'm handy with the soldering iron and dc powered gizmos. the mfgr has the output totally sewed up. terrific, basic item for every member of the family. best $30+ you'll ever spend. p.s. get get the 3 for deal. you'll wish you would have. okay, beans, rice AND HAMHOCKS?
