I have to go buy a new outfit. for the DOS..then I have to get bugs out, transfer the data etc.. maybe get a new modem box from Signal..
A pain.

Right now my data vendor is SIGNAL, or DBCC, familar symbol.. They send it through certain dedicated Cable channels, Cspan, AMC, CNBC, I think..on the the TV cable. You pick one that doesn't have local advertising, because that will interrupt the signal for a few minutes.
I use AMC, and Cspan..

I have so many cable outages.. I inquired about a Dish, well the signal people are very good, and discouraged me because it would be a lot slower..So I'm still on cable..

Right now, I'm to far out too get DSL even ..I'm a big fan of real player to get the Mariner and Cougar play by play..

Cobalt, per chance is this game that your son plays called Ultima..?

My older son plays a real-time role-playing game on-line, and you can see all the
other people who are logged on, in character, and the scenery changes like in
Doom, and the sound is real-time
