Most people would know what an uncut stone is after seeing one average quality uncut stone. The same cannot be said for any other mineral in my experience. Lest we forget Cartaway??? aj

Ali I want to thank you for your candid comments and say that it is fun to be able to sit back and listen to the things you say.. I have no experience in these matter except that I could relate it to WOOD. I once ended up with a piece of wood that I felt was invalueable,. In this sense; I could not believe how easy it was to "machine" .. You could run a router or shaper over it and it would never splinter or raise it's grain. It was like butter to work with easy to stain and finish etc. Only problem was I could not remember where I picked this particular 1X6 up ??? I then decided that this wood was the best thing thing since sliced bread so I wanted to KNOW what it was !! I took it to the "experts" and to this day never found out what it was I came across by unusual providence. I suppose, now, I will have to die never knowing because no one I knew was familiar with what it was.. I consulted the best in this city and they did not know.. although it was interesting watching them try to save face with their comments.. bottom line was I could not buy another piece of it because NONE of them could tell me what it was for sure... Please keep up your comments on these threads as i believe you are adding a very important element to these posts .. namely some street smarts to the truth about stones etc.. Love your posts and Thanx
